How expensive to install central heating in an Amish-built house that has none?
I have my eye on a nice 6 bedroom house in Pennsylvania that was built in 2002 by Amish and has no central heating. Any HVAC cognescenti have an opinion on the cost (and wisdom) of retrofitting it with central heating? One of the central issues is that banks don’t like to give mortgages (apparently) on houses that have no central heating.

(chain restaurants) Now I know that all restaurants vary, but in general what restaurants have always had friendly, prompt service in your experiences? Alternately, are there any restaurants you avoid because of this? You could also mention fast food restaurants if you like.
What color appliances will work in my kitchen?

In my kitchen I have oak cabinets and oak wood laminant flooring. I really want stainless steel appliances. Right now my counter tops are butcher block, but I don’t care what color they are, I just really like the looks of the stainless steel. My question is will the stainless steel work with the oak color and a basically western style decor? Also, what color countertops would you chose if this combination works?
Central Heating – how would you go about installing it in your home?
Hi. I am just about to make an offer on a house – but it does not have central heating! If my offer is accepted, I’m sure to install some sort of heating to it – radiators & underfloor heating for the bathroom. The house hasn’t been touched for many many years it seems, and I have a chance of really doing things anew, installing efficient up-to-date systems. . But I am completely baffled as to how go about this. Should I choose oil/ gas/ electricity… for example? How much does everything cost to do up?? (it’s a semi-detatched 3 bed house by the way, if this info helps) And who / which establishment should I ask to do it for me??? I hear british gas is expensive… . Any suggestions, comments appreciated. Thanks.
What percentage of restaurants use guest paging systems?

I want to know roughly what percentage of all restaurants use these. Not which ones use them, not how many restaurants there are in the world, but what percentage of restaurants use the guest paging systems that vibrate and/or make noise when a guest’s table is ready. Thank you. Please reference a link showing where your answer came from. Otherwise, I’ll have to assume you made it up.
What are the best small appliances for my future kitchen?

I’m moving into an apartment in a week, and am trying to plan what I should buy for it. The kitchen already has an oven, microwave, etc… so what I’m looking for are small appliances like a toaster, Foreman grill, and so on. I’m a rookie when it comes to kitchens, so I’m wondering what the most important, most versatile, and most cost effective appliances I can buy are. So far, I’m planning on a toaster, pressure cooker and an electric contract grill. What else should I get?

Do Restaurants usually hire more during the holiday season?

I’ve been trying to get a job at a restaurant and have been having a hard time finding one that’s hiring. I know most retail stores hire for seasonal workers so I’m wondering if restaurants usually do this as well. Also I know restaurant business slows down after Christmas, but how much? Anybody know? Thanks!
